Resources for Low-Income Dental Care

Many publicly funded and private trust funds provide some assistance for dental care for low-income individuals. Please understand that, as a rule, these agencies pay only a portion of the usual fee and rely upon dentists donating the remainder of their usual charges for services. For this reason not all dentists can be expected to participate in the programs listed below.

Patients must follow the requirements of the agency in order to qualify for financial assistance, as well as be prepared to pay for a portion of their care depending upon their income (except Medicaid). The involved agency will then refer qualified patients to participating dentists for evaluation and for treatment, as indicated.
