Current Membership in CSDS
The Colorado Springs Dental Society serves the counties of El Paso, Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, and Lincoln. However, almost all dentists are located in El Paso County, with a few satellite practices in the other counties. The CSDS enjoys a significantly higher percentage of member dentists of the total dentists in the area eligible for membership in comparison to the Colorado and the national averages. Current membership data include
- 370 total dentists in area (not counting military dentists)
- 335 dentists are members (27 retired who retain membership)
- 90% membership, in comparison to the state average of 84% and the national average of 71.4%.
- 33 women dentists (10%)
